Lake Guthridge in Sale, Central Gippsland, Victoria. It was late March and the moon was rising at the far end of the lake. The beautiful gum tree on the edge of the lake framed the moon perfectly. The blue hour light and calm conditions were amazing for this kind of shoot. Lake Guthridge is a very popular area for locals to meet, exercise, have picnics or walk their dogs. Lake Guthridge is an artificial lake and has a flat, 2.4km track around it. A walk around neighbouring lake, Lake Guyatt, can add another 1.1km to the route. The area boasts beautiful old trees, is home to the Sale Botanic Gardens, a fantastic Community Garden (called ‘Seed’), lots of wildlife and bird life, playgrounds, exercise machines, BBQ areas and two free tennis courts.
