Lake Tyrrell Aerial Orange Half Moon

Lake Tyrrell is a shallow, salt-crusted lake in the Mallee district of north west Victoria, just north of the town of Sea Lake. Known for its beautiful colours formed by salt and other minerals, especially when taking images from the sky. This particular part of the lake area shows an orange to red colour, caused by a specifically red marine phytoplankton, flanked by a sandy ‘beach’ and some vegetation along the lake.
