Description
A lone gum tree stands proud in a dry part of Lake Glenmaggie. This magnificent tree was once part of a group of trees but the left over stumps tell the story. Lake Glenmaggie is situated in the Shire of Wellington, a beautiful part of Gippsland. It is well known with locals and tourist for water based recreational activities such as waterskiing, fishing and boating. This Glenmaggie Gum is at times surrounded by water but at the time this image was taken, Gippsland went through a period of drought.
